Details/Description:
Can You Sing a HIGH 'C' Without Straining by voice coach Thomas Appell is the voice system that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt why anyone can develop an incredible vocal range. There has never before been a book that explains so clearly how to sing high notes without going into falsetto, and without straining. Most singers increase their range by several notes after the first week of practice with this system. (*results will vary by student)

For the first time ever in a book/CD package about singing, a thorough explanation about what causes a "break" between the lower and upper registers of the voice is presented. You'll learn why break points occur in your voice and how to eliminate the breaks in your voice through Thomas Appell's proven vocal exercises. Having good vocal technique is wonderful, but not enough. With this proven vocal training system you'll learn how to develop your own personal style, and how to emulate the stylish tricks used by your favorite singers. You'll also learn why the development of an extended vocal range for speech is the key to eliminating hoarseness and protecting your speaking and singing voice.

Included in this special package are three audio CDs jam-packed with over two hours of vocal examples and exercises plus 60 minute training videos for male and female singers.

Have you ever wondered why a young voice changes while going through puberty? Do you know how your speaking voice affects your singing voice? Would you like to know why your voice flips into falsetto when you try to sing a note that is too high for your natural voice? Would you like to know how to control the tone of your voice? Find the answers to all of these questions as you go through the easy-to-read book, listen to the three audio CDs, and watch the included videos.

About Thomas Appell:
Thomas Appell is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California. He graduated in 1979 with a major in engineering and a minor in music. He began singing professionally at age 10 as a boy soprano in the "Choralaires" singing group in West Covina, CA. After performing many times on television and recording an album with the Choralaires, Thomas formed the pop-rock group "Love's Perfection" at age 13 and began performing at local venues in the San Gabriel Valley.

At age 22 Thomas started a new group "US101" centered around great singing, great songs, and a great live show. Local drummer Tom Bass aka Tommy Lee joined with Thomas and together they played scores of gigs together in the greater Los Angeles area. After performing for more than two years with Thomas, Tommy Lee teamed up with local singer Vince Neil and formed the band Motely Crue. Thomas focused on singing and private vocal instruction, began training singers in 1982 and in 1992 published the first edition of Can You Sing a High 'C'-Without Straining?

Can You Sing a High 'C'-Without Straining? was the first book ever written to explain how and why anyone can sing high notes without straining. Prior to Thomas' research, it was commonly taught that singers were born (or not born) with the ability to sing high notes. Thomas showed that singing high notes was a matter of training and developed highly effective exercises to teach singers how to safely increase their range. Now voice teachers from all over the world use the information from Can You Sing a HIGH C Without Straining? to help their students sing high notes with ease.

The current edition of the book comes with 3 audio CDs and 60 minute training videos on DVD for male and female singers.

Thomas has given more than 40,000 voice lessons since beginning his career as a professional vocal coach in 1982. The average student who trains with Thomas increases their range by 7 notes.

Thomas has a voice training studio in Irvine and a state-of-the-art recording studio in Trabuco Canyon, California. Thomas writes, arranges, records, and produces music for the singers he trains using PRO TOOLS digital recording system. He plays keyboards, acoustic, electric and bass guitars. Thomas is a member of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest where he serves as a small group leader.
